This forgotten Queen Anne bungalow is a rags-to-riches tale of an off-kilter, mossy box that finally made good. Model Remodel (MRM) worked closely with the architect to create an inspiring, modern home with stunning lake and mountain views. The existing basement apartment was significantly refreshed and became a livable, 2-bedroom, light-filled space. The rental income generated offered the property owners a great return on investment. The entire home received updated and efficient mechanical and electrical service.
MRM reused much of the existing fir flooring and first-floor framing. We also added new insulation and an energy-efficient hydronic heating system. MRM built a third floor addition, an incremental 700SF while maintaining the same overall footprint.
