On April 1st, 2022 we celebrate reaching 20 years in business as one of Seattle’s most dependable remodeling contractors. This milestone is the result of many hard-working employees and the hundreds of homeowners who put their trust in us.
We’re excited to use this opportunity to launch our first video, which you can view below, and to reminisce about the evolution of our company.
Model Remodel’s founding story is a bit unconventional, stemming from two occupations you don’t often find on the same resume: fashion modeling and home construction. Our founder, Jason Legat, worked for a close family friend as a carpenter during high school. After graduating, a modeling career pulled him away to travel the world, but eventually Washington state called him back to his roots and a career working with his hands. Hence the name: Model Remodel.
Now, twenty years later, Model Remodel has over 30 employees and we continue to grow steadily during this remodeling boom. Thank you especially to the handful of employees who have been with MRM for over 10 years, including: Phil Marks, Kris Shaw, Kim Tyson and Ricky Bribiesca. Thank you also to our wonderful subcontractors, many of which we’ve partnered with for 10+ years! Great relationships, trust and communication have been the foundation of our company culture, alongside a deep commitment to high quality work.
