Projects that fall in this category are generally smaller in scope and budget than our larger custom design-build projects. Is My Remodeling Project a Small Job?
Does a small job include custom design services?
Small remodeling jobs do not typically include custom designs, layouts, and drawings. Larger projects that require those services are usually considered design-build projects. There is some overlap between design-build and small jobs, and we’re happy to discuss where your particular project might fit in.
Do small jobs require a permit?
Most of our small jobs require minimal permitting, or no permits at all. Permitting is an intricate topic, and Model Remodel has an in-house permitting team to help answer any questions.
Is a small job confined to one room/space?
Small remodeling projects are usually confined to one space, but may include a wider area of work, such as replacing all the trim or doors in a home. We are very flexible with scope of work and we’re always open to hearing your ideas for your home.
Are small jobs limited by time or budget?
If your remodeling project is limited by time and budget, we can work with you to find the best plan of action for your situation. This is one of the reasons we created the Small Jobs Division, and our expert team is very experienced in home remodeling on a tight schedule.
What are some examples of small remodeling projects?
Small jobs come in all shapes and sizes. Our most common project type is a bathroom refresh, whether that’s a half bath update, a tile replacement, or a new shower door. If a kitchen update is in order, you might consider new lighting fixtures, or a tile backsplash. Outdoor living can easily fit into the small job category with deck repair, outdoor lighting, or water damage repair.
