Model Remodel is extremely proud to announce that we have won three Remodeling Excellence (REX) Awards through the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish County! That’s two more than last year. The awards include
- Green Remodeling Excellence, for the company’s Remarkable Laurelhurst Remodel, with the help of CAST Architecture
- Major Remodel Excellence in a Residential Basement of Less than $50,000, for the Portage Bay Playroom, with the help of Ten Directions Design
- Excellence in a Kitchen of $75,000-$125,000, for the Laurelhurst Vintage Classic Kitchen, with the help of rom architecture studio
Designer Morgan Ennis attended the ceremony on Saturday, along with about 150 others—the largest turnout to date. The crowd ranged from magazine editors to tradespeople to clients and to architects. Attendees were able to view boards of all the projects before the program began and vote on their favorite for the People’s Choice Award. The dining room photo of the Laurelhurst remodel, with its beautiful wood finishes and natural lighting, solicited the strongest verbal reactions from the crowd. When the judges voted, though, they did so blindly, as there were no company names attached to the photos.
“It’s rewarding to be recognized by others in our field for doing great work,” Ennis says. “We work hard, and we care about our clients.”
The awards never would have been possible without our talented architect partners. Model Remodel would also like to congratulate all the participants and winners at the REX Awards, in addition to thanking the judges and the Master Builders Association.
