Regal Master Suite Addition

Architect: Brian Palmberg, Bellcraft Architects

Location: Green Lake, Seattle, WA

What was once a unused attic, is now a luxurious master addition designed by Bellcraft Architects. By opening up the attic and expanding it outwards, we were able to add quite the spacious master suite to the upstairs of this Green Lake home.

The project required removing a brick chimney stack, roofing and siding to make way for new walls and a bathroom. The living space was extended outward by creating a dormer on one side and a 2nd story, covered deck on the other. The deck provides a cozy, secluded outdoor area that can be enjoyed all-seasons.

Certainly the most striking room of the remodel is a fully marble master bathroom. The floors, countertops, and tile are marble surrounded by white walls and cabinets. Under-tile electric heating keeps the room warm and spa-like. The luxurious marble is complimented by a modern, glass-door shower stall.

We matched the flooring, siding, roofing and decking to the existing materials, so that the addition would be virtually unnoticeable. The result is a larger, more luxurious home that is a seamless extension of its previous self.
