Additional Space, Additional Inspiration

A home addition is the epitome of opportunity. Whether you’re adding a new bedroom, building bigger living spaces, or expanding your kitchen, adding new space is a chance to make your home better fit your needs. For this incredible home remodel, the homeowners had a tasteful vision of expanding their main living area and reimagining the kitchen.

This home addition extended the footprint about 8 feet past where the original deck was, adding roughly 225 square feet of new interior living space – and keeping a quaint front deck in the process. Centering the home’s living spaces, this addition focused on building an entirely new living room and transforming the old one into a fantastic dining room. The kitchen was not part of the addition, but received a full makeover with brand new countertops, cabinets, and tile, plus a new eating nook and a standalone beverage counter. In the process of transforming the front of the home, the homeowners decided to add a lovely entry space with a closet, and even some room for a built-in dresser in the primary bedroom.

The Heart of the Home Reimagined

Our ambitious remodel began with an eye-catching addition to the front of the home, keeping its classic charm while giving it a modern refresh. The homeowners decided to re-use the gorgeous front door and large front window – a sustainable remodeling practice that we were happy to help with. Clean architectural lines seamlessly merge with the existing structure, creating a cohesive look that has a picturesque curb-appeal.

The interior of this remodel focused on the heart of the home, reshaping the main living space into a haven of comfort and functionality. With a fantastic gas fireplace and lovely bright windows, the living room is a cozy retreat for family and guests alike. A big open archway unites the living room and the spacious dining room, which has room for a huge dining room table, plus enough extra space to keep this room functional as a throughway from the living room to the kitchen. This thoughtfully designed space transforms mealtime into a delightful experience, blending modern aesthetics with an inviting atmosphere.

An Elegant Kitchen Remodel as Well

The remodeled kitchen features built-in appliances, a cleverly integrated eating nook, and a cute additional counter space to reserve attention for your favorite drinks or coffee. With stunning smoky green and bisque-colored cabinetry, and black soapstone countertops, this kitchen has a sophisticated and elegant look. The charming eating nook provides a nice space for intimate meals or a quick breakfast.

Recognizing the importance of storage, we incorporated large cabinets throughout the kitchen, ensuring ample space for the well-prepared cook. These cabinets seamlessly merge with the overall design, adding functionality without compromising on style.

This brilliant Seattle addition is a great example of how a reimagined use of space can totally transform a home. The flow between rooms is carefully orchestrated, creating a fluid layout that enhances both the visual and functional aspects of the home. A classy kitchen remodel elevates the space even further, giving the homeowners another room that they’re excited to spend time in.
